Council’s objectives for the district in hosting the Tour Down Under are:
1. To have a program that unifies communities along the length of the district
by working together to create a fantastic experience for our citizens and visitors.
2. To create a positive and inviting perspective to enrich our regional brand image and the international recognition of the Clare Valley as one of Australia’s finest wine regions.
3. To provide a business opportunity for local enterprises through the provision of goods and services in a festival environment.
To achieve this we will need to work together and engage the Community to make the best possible impact and impression.
To resource the Clare Valley Breakaway Festival, Council is offering sponsorship opportunities. The categories of sponsorship are structured to meet the needs of your enterprise and we invite your interest and consideration.

The estimated economic worth of this television coverage from the likes of SBS, Versus and Sky was $210 million.
In 2010 the anticipation is for an even better result with Lance Armstrong and his new Team Radioshack to make their international debut in the 2010 Tour Down Under starting in Clare on 19 January.
